Kids that cope are happier, healthier and more successful
Kids That Cope was formed with the mission to empower children and teens with coping skills to help them successfully navigate life’s challenges.
What do coping skills help with?
01.
Anxiety and Stress
Childhood anxiety disorders are very common, affecting one in eight children. Using healthy coping skills can help kids turn their attention away from anxious thoughts and toward a sense of calm.
02.
Behavior Issues
Strong emotions and higher levels of impulsivity can cause kids and teens to act out in negative ways. Coping skills give kids the tools they need to think before they act, effectively manage their emotions and control their behavior.
03.
Self-esteem
When kids know how to cope with their emotions, they feel more confident and capable. They know that they can handle whatever comes their way, which can lead to a more positive outlook on life and improve self-esteem.
04.
Social Skills
Healthy coping skills contribute to healthier peer and family relationships. When kids manage stress constructively, they are better equipped to communicate, empathize, and connect with others.
